Q. A colleague has told me that we need to risk assess everything - even a stapler - because staff can injure themselves with one. Is this really the case? A. The simple answer is no. You do not need to complete a risk assessment or train staff how to use a stapler safely. The risks are minimal; therefore, doing so would be a complete waste of time....
