Fire risk assessment - introduction

If you use our fire risk assessment system you’ll have a number of sheets assessing different topics. Why not set the scene with our introduction document which provides essential premises details?

Using the form

Our risk assessment system includes two alternative options. For small premises, you can use our single form Fire Risk Assessment - Small Premises, but for more complex premises, our system includes separate sheets covering different topics, e.g. Fire Hazards - Sources of Fuel and Fire Precauations - Assembly Points. When using the more detailed risk assessment system, you should use our new Fire Risk Assessment - Introduction form to provide some context.

The form asks you to describe the premises and explain its use. Use it to list the address, the number of storeys and their size, details of any previous fires, neighbouring activities and past involvement by the fire and rescue service.
