Legally safe documents that will help you stay on top of every health and safety situation in the least cost way.
Clients must appoint a CDM co-ordinator for larger projects involving more than 30 days, or 500 person days, of construction work. Our questionnaire will help you to get it right.
Appointing someone to the role of CDM co-ordinator (CDMC) can be a difficult task. But taking care is not just a good idea, it’s a legal requirement. Clients need to make sure that the CDMC is competent and adequately resourced to carry out the role. This is required by the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 .
Our questionnaire is designed to gather all the information you need about a company or sole trader to determine whether they have what it takes to be CDMC on your particular project. The idea is that once you have a shortlist of likely candidates you should send out the form together with a description of the planned project.
The form gathers information on:
the scope and size of the consultancy
relevant experience, memberships, qualifications and references
how they ensure competency of their own team
their procedures for complying with CDMC duties under the Regulations
insurance
enforcement history.
Once you receive the replies and obtain quotes you should be in a position to select a suitable company.
