Legally safe documents that will help you stay on top of every health and safety situation in the least cost way.
Taking down redundant buildings can be dangerous, even where small structures are involved. If you’re planning this kind of work, use our checklist to make sure it’s done safely and you meet your obligations as the client.
As the client of demolition and dismantling work you have certain responsibilities to oversee the health and safety arrangements for the job. These are set out in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. If you do what it says on our checklist you will have covered your legal obligations.
Our document will help you check the competency of the contractor, the provision of a client brief and pre-construction information, and the arrangements in place for controlling safety in practice. It also looks at welfare facilities, safety monitoring, the management structure and, for larger projects, notification to the HSE.
