If you use fork lift trucks in your workplace, then you’re probably well aware of the dangers. But apart from training the drivers what else do you need to do? Our management checklist will help.

What’s covered?

Our checklist is designed as a quick and easy test of whether you’re doing what’s required. There are 20 questions, set out under four headings:

1. Operator training.

2. Maintenance and examination.

3. Operations.

4. Supervision.

How to use the checklist

There are supplementary notes at the end of the form which explain some of the issues in more detail.

Answer all the questions. Where you need to write additional notes, tick “F/I” (further information) and add them in the box at the end before signing off.
